What do you love about your job?
What I love most about being a photographer is the ability to create images that resonate with people. It brings me immense joy and fulfilment when I capture a moment, whether it's a genuine emotion in a portrait or a visually captivating product shot, and receive positive feedback from clients and viewers alike. The process of conceptualising, composing, and capturing that perfect shot is an exhilarating experience that never fails to ignite my passion. Knowing that my work can evoke emotions, inspire, or simply bring a smile to someone's face is the ultimate reward.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
Throughout my photography journey, I've had the opportunity to undertake various shoots, each with its own unique significance. Two shoots, in particular, stand out as truly special and memorable to me.
The first was when I documented my friends' last day in New Zealand as they packed up their rental home before flying back to their home country. What made this shoot exceptional was the personal connection I had with the subjects. I had witnessed their journey from being individuals to becoming a couple during their time in New Zealand, and being able to capture their farewell was a touching and nostalgic experience.
The second memorable shoot was an engagement session for a colleague. It was my first time photographing an engagement, and I was deeply honoured that they entrusted me with such an important milestone. I put great effort into planning and executing the shoot to ensure it was meaningful and captured the essence of their love story. The trust and connection I had with the couple allowed us to create genuine and intimate moments, making it a truly special occasion.
