More about Yi-Chen C....
What do you love about your job?
Being able to capture the genuine moment for people and the best look of the products/food makes me feel happy.
What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?
I have done various types of shoots including landscapes, food, products, and occasionally family photos. I make the food look mouth-watering, colorful, and scrumptious by using off camera flash, large softbox, and reflectors to simulate natural sunlight look. For contrasty and moody food shoots, I use flags and a snoot to direct the lights to where in interest. For products, good looking edge lights and nice reflections help them look classic and amazing, this may be achieved by using multiple flashes and diffusers. In summary, I look for shadow and highlight and set up lighting to achieve a desired balance for satisfaction. Sometimes, photoshop manipulation is a must for composites and the ultimate outcome, combined with my aesthetic talent and persistent efforts, I am happy to wow the viewers. (Depending on client's plan and budget, photoshop is an additional service and may occur extra fee)
