Lania or Lani is an amazing photographer. In 2023 my band and I hired Lani to take photos at one of our rehearsals and the BBQ we had afterwards. Despite the event being very informal Lani captured some amazing moments and made us feel so very satisfied with rehearsal and food. All the other members of the band frequently want to know what Lani is up to and when she can come back to take more photos. She's obviously a very experienced photographer and she also has unique interpersonal skills. Thise skills are hard to come by in this very digital age we live in. Lani flys without wings. How did you get started with photography

Make people look good, follow that. Easy to say hard to do, that is why I apprenticed with the best. Following my University qualification, and hundreds of weddings and engagements is how I got started.

What do you love about your job?

Finding the best angle, lighting and expression of a person in single moment, and knowing how to get there quickly is my favourite part of photography. Keep it simple. Refining a single decisive moment to represent an ideal. That is the challenge.

What are some of your favorite places in Sydney to take photographs?

Locations I choose depends on the persons character, for some Boho laneways, for others traditional Landmarks. Summer, Autumn and Winter all bring varied colours, light and options, so I keep a library online as reference to best suit needs
