How did you get started with photography

I got my first real start with a Fujifilm camera back in college. It was a birthday gift from my mother. I still remember going to the local camera store with her to pick it out. She is a retired art teacher and has always inspired me to be creative. As a child, I really enjoyed stealing my parent's film cameras in order to document random moments in our lives. Family vacations were always my favorite. After several years of working in the e-commerce industry, photography just kept on finding ways to wedge its way back into myself. That's when I decided to leave the normal 9-5 work day and start a career as a dedicated photographer.

What do you love about your job?

What I enjoy most about my job is being able to connect my camera with my subject. There is something magical about capturing those special moments in time. Whether I am photographing beautiful landscapes, gorgeous real estate properties, or a charming face; as long as a camera is in my hand I feel at home.

What are some of your favorite places in Vallejo to take photographs?

California is loaded with beautiful places to take photographs. A few of my favorites are Heather Farms Park, Yosemite, Battery Spencer, Baker Beach, Golden Gate Park, Mill Valley, the Cal-Berkley Campus, downtown Walnut Creek, the Fishermans Wharf, Oakland Hills, and many more.
