Wie hast du mit der Fotografie angefangen?

Photography was ingrained into my soul as a child. My grandparents, aunt, and uncle were always taking photographs. My grandfather had a dark room in his basement, and my uncle has been a professional photographer for over thirty years. I began taking film classes in high school and shot as a hobby while raising my children. I transitioned to photography as my career in 2012.

I love capturing connections between family members in a way they can cherish forever. Documenting such a close loving bond between parents and children or siblings is very special to me. I also love capturing the face of a baby or child that only the parents see at home. My favorite photos are not always the ones of them smiling. Babies cry, children fool around or get upset, photographing those moments are just as important. Their part of their story.

Wo fotografierst du am liebsten in Hartford?

Harkness Park is the most popular in New London County, CT. I also love going into the City for an Urban setting in Downtown New London. There are Seasonal spots that everyone loves here as well such as The Saw Mill in Ledyard, CT and Geer's Tree Farm in Griswold, CT. I often venture out to Weekapaug, RI and Rogers Williams Park in Providence, RI.
