camera Sony A6400, Sony A7IV, Sony FX3

My photography journey has three pivotal moments that define my passion and expertise. It all began in middle school when I first picked up a camera and discovered the magic of shutter speed and motion blur by capturing Oreos falling into a glass of milk. In 2019, I elevated my craft by purchasing my first professional camera to create YouTube videos. This marked the start of my documentary journey, where I began sharing my visual stories with family. By 2020, I found joy in capturing anything and everything, reaching a professional level in my work. Today, I'm excited to help you capture your memories and tell your unique story through my lens. Let's create something beautiful together!

How did you get started with photography

My mother always loved to take pictures, so I learned how to shoot on a Minolta film camera when I was 12. I remember teaching myself how to use the light meter and balance aperture, shutter, and ISO, then waiting a week to get the prints back to find out if I did it right. Times have changed, but photography is still my passion and life's work, 20 years later.

What do you love about your job?

My worst day as a photographer beats my best day at any other job I've had. No matter the assignment, there is bound to be something beautiful, funny, or exciting, and I thoroughly enjoy handing that over to my client.

What are some of your favorite places in Austin to take photographs?

I enjoy outdoor shoots, and my favorites include Mueller Lake Park, Mt. Bonnell, and the soon-to-be-relocated Hope Outdoor Gallery. For head shots, there's no better spot than the blue tile wall on Sabine.
