How did you get started with photography

My Dad bought me my first ever Canon, when I was just ten years old. I grew up fascinated with the photographs I’d find in magazines. I’d pour through them, especially the interior magazines. My travel photos were pretty damn good, even though I was only using a compact camera. I LOVED composition. I just needed a DSLR to make the jump. Within the first year of purchasing the Canon 30D, I landed my first paid wedding job and I haven’t looked back. That was in 2010.

What do you love about your job?

I simply LOVE capturing life. Imprinting magical moments to be treasured forever. Whether that is the emotion on someone's face, or the texture and contrast that brings about emotion through an interior shot, or a product that is so clean and crisp, or a soft-focused editorial or lifestyle image ... I love capturing the colours, the essence, and key focal points.

What are some of your favorite places in Sydney to take photographs?

In Sydney we're blessed with such variation. From early morning beach scenes for couples or families to urban suburbs that are great for headshots set against the backdrop of the city, to wedding location shots on the heads, by the lighthouse, in an old pub, or up on Observatory Hill. There are so many different backdrops.
