For over two decades, Vernon has crafted his technique from an early age. A strobist at heart, he developed his skills by painstakingly taking the time to learn the functions of his equipment one button at a time. Only operating in manual mode he strongly believes a photography isn't a true creative if they allow a mechanical instrument to make a creative decision. In addition to weddings, Vernon enjoys on-location portraits the most, basing his style surrounding his three elemental must haves in every image he creates. The clients personality, wardrobe, and surroundings, all must coexist in cohesive perfection. because of this method Vernon also considers himself a themed shooter. His work showcases drama with tones of edginess not by using hard shadows and blackness, but he sculptures light to create a moment in time that would never otherwise existed. Vernon strives to provide his clients with works that if viewed while scrolling a page, the viewer must stop, therefore setting out to be against the norm. He is apt to teach as well and enjoys the moment when a student finally realizes what has held them back through his instruction. I can't describe enough how much I love photography. I am a "Wanna Be Artist" Photographer. I cannot paint but I visually capture what I think would be in a beautiful painting or portrait. People, places and things, are always on my mind to seize that moment in an image. I have over 15 years experience mostly in wedding photography and have enjoyed immensely each of the more 500 weddings I have done.

Comment avez-vous commencé la photographie ?

I grew up taking photos as a kid. Photographing sporting and family events, those experiences sparked an interest in capturing memories for anyone I could get a lens in front of and it became my passion. From there I read and studied under several professional photographers to fine tune my skills. I cannot think of doing anything else.

Qu'est-ce que vous aimez dans votre métier ?

I love that photography is an ever changing art. Every job is familiar but different. The people, the location, even the time of day can change how a photo turns out and is seen. Understanding what is required to capture those moments and how to use your equipment and past knowledge to correctly capture them is key.

Quels sont vos endroits préférés à Allentown pour prendre des photos ?

My images are more concerned with the subject versus the surroundings behind it. If you want a beautiful photo of a great skyline or building in the background I can offer it. My relationship with my clients and what they tell me they want to see in their photos is key.
