I have spent my entire adult life either behind or in front of the camera. I have an extensive background in television/film as a creative and performer. I’ve shot full length films and television pilots, as well as dozens of short films and music videos. I’ve worked as an onset photographer for multiple productions and have shot private clients for over 5 years independently as well as with my sister, a well known Portland based photographer, Natalie Gildersleeve.

Committed to delivering promised results and remaining true to a unique artistic vision. He has been shooting professionally for 10+ years. Prior to that, he worked as a graphic designer. Even from a young age, he had a fascination with photographs. Why make photos or be a photographer? For him, it is to experience the world in a more connected, conscious, and appreciative way. Photography is an experience of looking at images and feeling a sense of gratitude, awe, inspiration, or emotional change. Also, photography is an experience of interacting with the world differently. For Sean, photography encourages him to wander, to explore, to look around, and talk to strangers. Photography is a creative outlet for him. Instant paintings. Instant art. Making photos makes his spirit feel uplifted. Taking photos helps him make social commentary and critique, which he hopes changes the hearts and minds of others in a positive way. Damien Dear has a great wealth of knowledge and experience in the field and medium of photography. From Interning to Assisting on Commercial sets to shooting professional work for press and personal, he is on his way to mastering the trade and obsession of Photo and Film.

As long as I can remember, I've always had an appreciation for the arts. That was why I chose art in college as a major. During that time I discovered many forms of artistic expression. Photography appeals to me most because of the technical experience required to create a good image.
