Samantha started making photos when she was in her late teens, however it wasn't until 2010 (some 15 years later) that she started to really feel that something was missing, that sitting in an office ignoring her creative urges was doing more harm than good, so she started a diploma in photography and in 2011 received the diploma and shot her first wedding. Wedding and Family photography have become her genre of choice, "there is nothing more satisfying than physically seeing the love that people can have for each other".

In 2012, while still living in New Zealand, I went into business with my mum and in 2014 moved to Melbourne with my husband and first born. I have continued to make photos here in Melbourne and am more passionate about my work than ever.

Wat vind je het leukst aan je werk?

I love people, to say I am just a people person is an understatement. I love that I can bring emotions to people, about them selves and also their family. I love that I can also bring a sense of pride as well.

Welke soorten shoots heb je gedaan en hoe heb je ze speciaal gemaakt?

I have shot many weddings and families in my 11 years and each one is different and special in their own way. I strongly believe in asking questions and getting to know my clients before the shoot so that I can think about how I can make their session/day unique to them. From cross fitting couples doing push ups in their wedding attire to car crazy brides and grooms whose car's are their babies.

I have a 1st degree black belt in ITF Tae Kwon-Do. I love cooking and experimenting with food. I used to be a car enthusiast and I love playing Sims 4
