With 6 years of professional experience in photography, I've always been captivated by the power of a single image. From childhood, I had a camera in my hand, and my affinity for vintage film cameras continues to influence my digital work today. Based in Kyle, Texas, I serve clients in San Antonio, Austin, and other nearby cities, and have even traveled to destinations like Big Bend National Park, Phoenix, and New York for my craft.

More about Isabelle D....

What do you love about your job?

I love connecting with people and hearing/capturing their story, I also love the technical lighting setups and posing challenges, but my favorite thing about my job is when I get to see someone really see themselves for the first time. People rarely see the beauty of their laughter, the way their eyes sparkle when they look at their partner or child, or the confidence they exude when they are in a space to truly be themselves. I get to show them that and it is everything.

What types of shoots have you done and how did you make them special?

I have explored the whole gambit of photography. From Newborns to motorcycles to landscapes, I have tried it before I landed on my favorites. Each session with me is special because I don't just capture pretty pictures, I show my clients what profoundly unique individuals they are. The things our loved ones see when they look at us, but we often cannot see in ourselves. I take time to get to know my clients and their families so that everyone is comfortable and can have fun during their session.

Awards, honors, and recognitions received

I have received several awards from The Portrait Masters and placed first in the composition category in The Artist's Journey with Denise Birdsong.

A fun fact about this photographer

In college, I studied jazz piano, but due to an injury, could not continue in the program. I instead graduated with a degree in Animal Science and could talk about cows and restorative agriculture all day!
