camera Sony A7 III

Carol handles all kinds of photography including portraits, candids, families, weddings, parties, tourism, music & sporting events, workshops, lifestyle, behind the scenes, dating profiles, visuals, and is always looking for a new challenge. She has been behind the camera for over three years now, mostly self taught through online trainings and field experience. This has allowed her to have a unique take on the composition & style of her photos. Carol has always held a burning passion for creating. 10 of those years were spent on a basketball court - constantly improvising & making something out of nothing. As her love grew for storytelling & aesthetic visuals, that creative fire transformed from shooting a basketball to shooting with a Sigma 24-70mm lens. She'll still do whatever it takes to get the perfect shot, even if it means laying on the ground or jumping off a cliff.

How did you get started with photography

I first became interested in photography when I was in high school, but my family couldn't afford a camera until I finished college. I was really fascinated with street photography, and I spent a lot of days wandering and exploring with my camera to capture interesting scenes. Soon afterwards, I joined my first professional photo studio and learned all about new techniques including lighting skills, photoshop, and styling.

What do you love about your job?

I love catching people's real emotions, and that's always been my favorite part. I also loving walking in the city, feeling the different seasons and incorporating them into my photos. I love creating interesting color in pictures.

What are some of your favorite places in New York City to take photographs?

My favorite places in NYC are Greenwich Village and the Transit Museum.
