Michael was born raised on the East Coast in Rhode Island. He attended Syracuse University ,in Upstate New York, where he received a BS in Aeorospace Engineering. After graduating he went directly into the US Air Force to become a pilot. After the Military he set out to see as much of the world as he could. He achieved this by modeling his way through Europe and Asia. While his modeling career was taking off his love of photography started. After working with, and observing some of the finest fashion photographers in the world, he realized he had found his calling. On his day's off, he found himself photographing other models as well as all the beautiful places he would visit. It wasn't long before photography became his sole career. He continued to live and work in Europe,but this time as a photographer. There he developed his eye and his love for photography. " A classically beautiful picture, never goes out of style" and his work exemplifies that. He has been working and living in New York City since 2001, with his wife and two children.

How did you get started with photography

I started shooting film with my mother’s camera, and I immediately fell in love with it. Then in college, I was able to do B&W and develop film.

What do you love about your job?

I love being able to do different things every time, meet new people and physically move from one place to the other.

What are some of your favorite places in New York City to take photographs?

I live close to the river, so I really enjoy taking pictures of New York as the backdrop. I also enjoy taking pictures of the Lower East Side, I always find things that inspire me there, and the light can be quite good at the end of the day.
