His first camera was a manual Kodak film camera that required knowledge of settings based on the available light and not just pointing and shooting. Those lessons have made him a better photographer today, as getting a good shot upfront is worth more than a photoshopped image.

One look through Delana Nalesnik’s portfolio shows that she expresses her passion for art through her photography. Her affinity for capturing fleeting moments started at a young age - as soon as her hands grew into holding a digital SLR camera. Since then, she has gained experience in capturing pictures for nearly every occasion: graduation, sports, parties, backyard gatherings and family portraiture, to name a few. If Delana does one thing different than the rest, it is undertaking the sophisticated task of doing more than just taking a picture; she uses every shutter to create an everlasting rendition of not just that moment, but a rendition of the personality, opportunity, courage, excitement or love within it. She prefers to use gorgeous outdoor locations as a backdrop so you can just relax and be yourself instead of being stuck in, what she calls, "a stuffy studio with more equipment than an operating room." As she believes the heart is a camera's true lens, one of her favorite quotes is, “You don’t take a photograph, you make it.”
