Comment avez-vous commencé la photographie ?

I took my father's Hasselblad when I was six years old and proceeded to shoot all of the houses on my street while we walked the dog. I won a Denver Young Photographers Award in High School, an Eastman Kodak Scholarship in college (one of four worldwide), and earned my BFA in Film and Photography with a minor in Architecture from Syracuse U. I see the world as a never-ending series of spaces to be shaped and framed and strive to make emotional connections through my work, whether it's for a client or my own personal joy!

Qu'est-ce que vous aimez dans votre métier ?

There's something powerful about framing a subject and taking that shot — capturing that moment — freezing time. I was gifted with the ability to convey my emotional connection to a subject, a quality of space or a feeling about light through a medium that simultaneously flattens the world... and expands it. When I hear that shutter click I know that I've taken a small piece of the world. Then it's my happy responsibility to share it.

Quels sont vos endroits préférés à Bridgeport pour prendre des photos ?

I recently moved to a house about 45 minutes from NYC set on five private acres in the country. The house rests on top of a hill and overlooks a forest and a pond. With the elevation it's like living in a treehouse. My new favorite subject is the scene through the living room windows. It may appear to be a static vista of trees, but as the light moves through it and the leaves, snow, storms or sunshine come and go it's very much alive and constantly changing. It's simultaneously peaceful and kinetic. This fascinates me so I click and click and click.
