She is a trilingual world traveler that has captured life via analogue and digital photography all across Australia, Asia, Africa, Europe and North America. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Professional Photography from Brooks Institute, California, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Literature-Arts-Media and German Literature from the University of Konstanz, Germany. She started out as a a nature photography, worked as a journalist, before learning the ins and outs of scientific and product/table-top photography. She is most passionate about Stop-Action, Underwater, black light and all kinds of People Photography. An intriguing concept, impactful story-telling and beautiful fairy-tale lighting gives her the most joy when shooting.

Kay was all around wonderful! She was communicative, punctual, and caring. She even scouted locations for my surprise proposal since I was coming from out of town and sent me a Doc full of sample photos and descriptions. It ended up raining on the day of so we pivoted. She was at the spot early in the cold rain ended up getting amazing shots. Thank you, Kay!

Geraird did an amazing job. I can’t even believe how great everything worked out. He gave gave instructions for how to get the best candid shot of the proposal and then gave super creative guidance on how to get the best posed shots. We weren’t the best at taking his instruction to our own fault but he was super patient and made sure we got all the shots that we know we would want for the rest of our lives. Thanks for making it an extra special day!

I hired Rudy for a surprise proposal for my boyfriend. I don't live in Santa Barbara and had only been there one previous time, so it was really helpful to have someone who knew the area. He gave me a few recommendations, including the place that I ultimately chose to use (the courtyard next to the courthouse.) Rudy was prompt in returning my text messages and phone calls and was very nice. He even brought his girlfriend so he could meld into the background (he pretended to have a picnic.) The surprise worked! The photos came out very well done, with great lighting and parts of the background. He also set up several cute staged photos after the proposal. I'd definitely recommend him for your next photo shoot!
