Hi! I’m Yuxin, or Yuer for short. (Yu-shin/Yu-er) I’m a Wellington based photographer and videographer working with a diverse range of clients, from individuals to companies and government. Katie is a photographer based in Wellington who loves to capture authentic moments. Her professional career stemmed from being a photojournalist of her own life - carrying her camera everywhere and honing her technique over 15+ years. Side-by-side with photography, Katie works as a Graphic Designer, strengthening her eye for composition, color, and storytelling.

With over a decade behind the lens, I'm a passionate photographer driven by a love for storytelling through images. From landscapes to portraits, I've honed my skills through self-study and hands-on experience, blending traditional techniques with modern technology. ​Mother, actress by training, and photographer by passion. I became a professional photographer with the sole goal of turning joyful moments into everlasting memories: a digital time machine. Along with my much longed-for pregnancy, a strong urge to freeze special moments just kept growing. Professionalization became a natural path in pursuing my dream and so the art and science of framing moments became an indissoluble part of my life. My mission is an ongoing quest to capture magical moments of joy, where little ones are the protagonists of a creative and fun story craving to be told.
