How did you get started with photography

I got started with photography by 'accident': I am a biologist by trade, and I travelled to Australia to continue my studies in environmental science, however my english skills weren't as proficient back when I applied to university so I got rejected. In order to get a visa to stay in Australia I had to study something, so I looked for a course that would become a skill I could use in the future for my science career, and I choose photography. By the time I finished my course I was so in love with photography that I literally dumped science and here I am shooting every single day of my life and no regrets.

What do you love about your job?

I love the infinite range of things you can do with your camera. I love the fact that there isn't 'correct' or 'incorrect' photos, it is just what you perceive through your eyes. I love bringing happiness to my clients, I love the challenge with tight briefs. I love that photography gives me a propose in life.

What are some of your favorite places in Gold Coast to take photographs?

Anywhere you go in the Gold Coast is appealing for photography. We are lucky to have kilometres with out end of stunning golden beaches and crystal clear water but also we have the most beautiful hinterland. breathtaking bush walks will leave you with hundreds of amazing pictures. So its really hard to pick a place as my favorite. If I have to I would say North Burleigh, The Spit and Tambourine mountain.
