Fell in love with photography when I was just a little kid; to me it was - and still is -magic. Started getting more serious about the craft in 1989 at Hofstra University and was blessed with some very knowledgeable professors. Got the photojournalism bug, had romantic dreams of flying off to distant lands, photographing conflict, famine and generally anything involving personal risk. Thank goodness THAT never happened. Landed a job with Newsday right out of college in 1994. Honed my skills working for five years with an incredibly talented staff of veteran photographers. Left in 1999 for graduate school at the prestigious Ohio University School of Visual Communications. Returned to New York and was hired as a photo editor for The Associated Press in 2001. Earned my Master of Arts in Visual Communications in 2003. Hired for a dream job in 2005 as corporate photographer for the NASDAQ Stock Market, spending the next four years meeting and photographing executives of the most influential corporations in America, as well as numerous celebrities. Running my own photography business since 2009.

As a young teenager the German Jana couldn't give away the camera, she needed to capture everything that moved. From her friends to a ladybug. With the age of 17 she started her apprenticeship as a photographer and completed this 3 years later. In the next years she got interested to learn more about the fashion photography and started assisting some big fashion photographers in Switzerland, Los Angeles and New York. When she moved to Berlin she got the chance to be the studio manager and photographer in a photo studio and photographed families, babies, business companies and many more for the next three years. Now living in New York since 2018 she worked a lot as a retoucher but would like to hold her camera in her hands more often again.

Clarita Alave has always had an interest in photography, ever since she was a child. It wasn't until 2016 though that she truly started to hone her skills as a photographer. She attended the International Center of Photography School (ICP). It was here that she learned how to work with a DSLR camera and began experimenting almost exclusively in manual mode. In addition, she became proficient in post-processing images using programs such as Adobe Lightroom and Adobe photoshop. Furthermore, she has been gaining experience working with off-camera flash. Clarita started out shooting landscapes but eventually found that she preferred shooting portraits. She is currently focusing on high fashion, weddings and events, and family portraits. She has attended a number of workshops throughout NYC, Boston, and San Francisco. These workshops focused on a wide array of topics, such as, how to style a wedding, how to manage a photography business, the legal side of a photography business, how to take headshots, handling difficult clients/how to direct models, and how to properly use a flash for both men and women. Clarita is taking her lifelong love of photography and implementing it in ways that are positive for both her and her clients.
