Hi there! My name is Tatiana, and I'm a photographer with over 12 years of experience in the industry. I have a passion for photography and specialize in capturing people, particularly in creating branded portraits for experts in the online world and family portraits. I received my training at the St. Petersburg School of Photography in 2010, where I gained not only technical skills but also an understanding of how to effectively present professionals to achieve marketing goals. Additionally, I hold a Masters degree in Advertising, which provides me with valuable insights into creating strong visual images. Being a mother of three children, I deeply understand the value of family portraits. I genuinely believe in the power of family connections and strive to capture emotions and moments that will be cherished by our clients for years to come. I am fully committed to my craft and aim to create high-quality and meaningful photographs that evoke emotions and tell unique stories.

How did you get started with photography

I came to photography from painting, taking photos to help make paintings. Ultimately, I came to see the wider possibilities of photography in the more accurate capture of a particular moment and an expanded outward vision. The laborious processes of film photography never appealed to me so I largely bypassed aspect of photography. However, when the first digital cameras came out I found my graphic design background had given me the tools and skills to make the most of the new medium.

What do you love about your job?

The camera offers me doors into parts of the world and experiences I might never have know of, let alone seen. And it has given me the opportunity to meet any number of interesting people. I enjoy the challenge making a good photo in the tiny space of time that events allow, of trying to see and capture the special moment, of finding just the right angle in the right light - and of being just lucky enough to have all the pieces fall into place at the moment I press the shutter.

What are some of your favorite places in San Francisco to take photographs?

San Francisco City Hall is one of my favorite place to shoot - light is always beautiful, the stonework is beautiful and even when crowded there is always somewhere to shoot. The view of the Golden Gate Bridge from Fort Point can be amazing - but is weather dependent. The Palace of Fine Arts has plenty of elegant stonework for backgrounds and can work even in poor weather.
