Kofi is a revelation. Yes, he is technically proficient, at ease in situations where the lighting is tricky or inconsistent. But where he really shines is in knowing exactly how to get the best out of his subjects. In a moment, he can put everyone at ease, positioning them just so, and connecting with them so completely that they drop their guard and show their best self to the camera. I watched him, in awe, do this over and over again with staff over the course of a multi hour shoot. Every single person—every one—said this was the best picture anyone has ever taken of them. Technically flawless, artistically rendered, Kofi’s photos were like a split second window into each person’s best self. He’s the best photographer you will ever encounter.
