How did you get started with photography

I always loved being the photographer at family events, friends’ parties and work functions… so, in 2010 I decided to turn my passion into my full-time career. I began by taking photography courses to ensure that I really did want to turn my passion into a career. It was the best decision I have ever made. I started out professionally by shooting street fashion photography because I like to capture the character of a person and the uniqueness within. I was so thrilled when my work was featured in Yen Magazine for the first time in 2010, and then Vogue Italy in 2011… I truly have been fortunate to be published by so many big names in my seven years as a professional photographer.

What do you love about your job?

The best thing about being a professional photographer is meeting new people and creating a timeless snapshot of their life through a single photo shoot. Besides sharing in peoples’ stories, photography allows me to capture special moments in people’s lives and share their story in a way that is honest, artistic and unique. There is truly nothing more satisfying than seeing the smile on my clients’ faces and hearing great feedback once they see their final photos.

What are some of your favorite places in Sydney to take photographs?

My absolute favorite place to take pictures in Sydney is Lavender Bay. The Harbour Bridge and Wendy Secret Garden provide amazing city views, providing spectacular backdrops that can be suited for many types of photography. Lavender Bay is suitable for weddings, engagements, portraits, family photos, maternity and fashion. The light is beautiful in the morning with soft light and blue sky. I also like the sunset with golden glow as a backlight and a rim light. Another favorite place of mine to take photos in Sydney is La Perouse Beach… at sunset. This is the perfect time (with perfect lighting) to shoot weddings, engagements and maternity photos.
