I'm still new to photographer but I feel my background makes me more advance. I modeled for 8 years before switching sides on the camera, it give me a perspective on how it feels to be in front of the camera. I tend to turn away from posing, instead I always give my clients a prompt (movement is really important to me). I also have 6 years of experience in colors. I understand how colors work together, this allows me to give advice about wardrobe and how to edit to get a certain emotion. I also take photographer really serious, I always try to educate myself through YouTube and workshops .

How did you get started with photography

I got started with an old Pentax K1000 program and a 50mm lens, shooting b/w film and developing at a local darkroom. I actually did not intend to become a photographer -- I went to school originally to become an attorney -- but the job found me, and I enjoy my craft immensely. Nothing satisfies me more than a creating a beautiful image and working with different people from all walks of life. It's never a dull day for me when I'm photographing works for myself, or my clients.

What do you love about your job?

I love the fact I get to meet new and interesting people. My job encompasses meeting and working with all kinds of personalities and knowing how to manage and work with them is essential. And I get to work with my cameras and make beautiful work. What else could I ask for?

What are some of your favorite places in Austin to take photographs?

I enjoy shooting in downtown Austin, as well as in my own studio. :)
