“Dan has that natural creative eye for detail, he’s very easy and comfortable to work with and I love his shooting style. He played music in the background while we were shooting which was the first for me, it helped set the mood and made the process a lot more enjoyable. Really down to earth, genuine and personable dude and I LOVED the photos I got back from him” by Carlin Sterritt

I'm Federico, a very passionate professional photographer with over 12 years of experience with architectural photography, events, weddings, hospitality photography as well as food and portraits. Luckily, I've got many pictures published online and in print in major publications. As Elliott Erwitt was used to say: "To me, photography is an art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them."

How did you get started with photography

I made a decision in Yr 11 to do photography. This came about a little randomly but decided to continue with this decision and go study. It definitely was a challenge but i saw it though to the end and am still developing my personal style.

What do you love about your job?

I love the emotion a person can give when they are staring down my lens. The curiosity that one can find in a picture is what amazes and draws me in. I absolutely love being able to create this beautiful curiosity which is snapshotted in a small moment. Also allowing people to be drawn into someone else's gaze is the essence of why i love photography as it allows people to leave their own thoughts behind and focus on what's in front of them.

What are some of your favorite places in Sydney to take photographs?

I love shooting around parks, beaches and the cbd in Sydney, specifically in the late afternoons as this is the perfect lighting for most shoots outside.
