<p>Featured as one of <a href="https://www.snappr.com/best-photographers/scranton-pa">Scranton's top photographers</a></p> I am a baby, maternity, motherhood and children’s photographer. I love capturing families in a photojournalistic style that is completely unposed, unplanned and unrehearsed. I capture the beauty, the funny, the genuine preciousness of every day life that includes laughter, tantrums, smiling and sometimes crying. My work is emotional and raw and most people say they feel what is going on in the image I’ve captured. Children love photos of and with their mothers. I have always loved photography, whether I was being photographed or looking at old photos. In college I spent many hours in the darkroom learning film photography, but it wasn’t my path at the time and after college my career was my focus and I put my camera down. I was priced out of the new digital world and it wasn’t until 2011 when I picked up a camera again. I started shooting little league so that at the end of the season we could make a book for the coaches. Then, while working as a birth doula, I brought the camera into the hospital to capture the amazing first moments of a babies life and the moment when parents became parents. From there, I started doing photojournalistic newborn sessions and ultimately posed newborn sessions. As my newborns grew, so did the different types of sessions that I offered. I’ve trained in person with the amazing photographers, Ana Brandt, Meg Bitton, Karen Marie of Belly Beautiful. I have attended multiple photography conferences and workshops and current on my education.
