Lou Baldanza is an LA-based photographer specializing in Headshot, Event, and Real Estate Photography. There are few times he leaves the house without some form of a camera in his hand or at the ready. Perpetually looking to capture as many of the raw and authentic moments of life and the people in it that he can, Lou's passion for photos came out of a pre-existing passion for filmmaking and storytelling with the moving image. He's since curtailed that propensity to slowing time down even further and focusing his creative energies on one frame at a time.

Jason Ross Levy is your atypical photographer. Trained by some of the top photographers in the nation, he has excelled in his craft over the short amount of years he has been taking photos professionally. The most unique part is the fun an excitement you will have while shooting with him. Done are the days where you feel awkward in front of a lens - you will love how you look in your photos before you leave your session and you'll have a great time taking them as well!

How did you get started with photography

I'm not like the rest of photographers, they all start at the age of 10 and they were happy ever after. indeed I did receive my first camera when I was 11years old, but it took me almost 30 years to realize that I always been a photographer. Video stole my soul, then movies, then advertising and corporate events. I become a successful entrepreneur when I realized I didn't like it anymore, how little of my time I was using in what I like the most: create and art. So I made it to the top only to change direction and come full circle to photography.

What do you love about your job?

Photography is a non-stop evolving profession. There is always a new place, a new face, a new technique, a new challenge that makes photography the right job for me ( I'm proud i never stop learning and evolving). Also, I love to visualize the picture, imaging the light, before the photograph takes place, set up my lights and surprise the person with a different sense of reality. I think I like the WOOOOOO when they see the snap in my camera.

What are some of your favorite places in Los Angeles to take photographs?

Definitely downtown LA (art district), but I like Malibu and its beaches. I like Venice Beach and Santa Monica, where I live so I know it very well. I really don't care very much about the location as I'm not a sunlight slave (I carry my own lights). I can take awesome pictures at noon so I can take the best out of every mundane location, making it works for the shot
