Maximizing Your Shoots with AI Photography

AI photography for business works best when it starts from real photos of real products, dishes and properties. Snappr's Magic line covers three jobs: restyling existing images (Magic Studio), filling menu gaps (Magic Menus) and turning listing photos into video walkthroughs (Magic Video Tours).

The shoot wrapped. The image requests didn't.

The photographer packed up on Tuesday. By Thursday, marketing wants the hero shot in a vertical crop for Stories, the sales team wants it on a darker background for a pitch deck, and someone in ops has noticed that half the menu on the delivery app still has no pictures at all.

Sound familiar? The shoot was never the hard part. Getting enough usable images out of it, in every size and setting the business needs, is where the time goes.

AI was supposed to fix that, and companies have certainly started using it. McKinsey's 2025 State of AI survey found 88 percent of respondents say their organizations use AI. The same McKinsey research found only 7 percent say it's fully scaled across the organization. Most teams have the tools. Far fewer have a way to use them on real work.

That's the gap Snappr's Magic line is built for. It's three products, each aimed at one specific visual job, and each starting from photos you already own.

What AI photography means when it starts from real photos

Most AI photography tools start with a blank prompt and invent everything. That's fine for a mood board. It's a problem when the product, dish or living room in the image has to be the one a customer will actually receive.

Magic works the other way round. It starts from a real image, usually one from a Snappr shoot, and changes only what you ask it to change: the background, the light, the crop, the scene. The thing being sold stays the thing being sold.

Magic Studio: one image in, a campaign out

Magic Studio is a chat-and-canvas workspace inside Snappr, under Magic in the sidebar. You pull in an image from any past Snappr shoot, upload your own or start from a text prompt alone, then say what you want: a different angle, a new background, a product removed, the lighting changed.

Results land on a canvas beside the chat, ready to download, so you can keep refining in the same thread instead of starting over.

Every tier gets a one-time allowance of free generations: 10 on pay-as-you-go, 100 on Pro and 200 on Enterprise. On Pro and Enterprise the allowance is shared across the whole account rather than given per user. Pay-as-you-go accounts unlock theirs after at least one paid booking. Pro and Enterprise accounts can also choose which AI model runs each edit. For product teams, our guide to AI product photography goes deeper on restaging packshots.

Magic Menus: a photo for every item on the menu

Delivery apps reward full menus. The 2026 Restaurant Industry Trends report from DoorDash and SevenRooms found that reaching at least 50% menu photo coverage on DoorDash can increase sales by 13% on average. The same report found 87% of consumers have chosen what to eat on a delivery app after seeing an appealing photo or video of a menu item.

The catch is cost. Booking a shoot for a 60-item menu across hundreds of locations rarely pencils out, which is why so many menus sit half-empty. We covered the scale of that problem in our piece on image gaps on food delivery apps.

Magic Menus is the AI menu answer. It generates images for every item, matched to a brand's background, angle and crop, and human reviewers check each one for visual quality and ingredient accuracy before it goes live. It can run from the click of a button or plug into existing menu data through an API. According to Snappr's Magic Menus page, Snappr has generated menu images for more than 138,000 restaurants, and three of the world's largest food delivery apps use the product.

Magic Video Tours: a walkthrough built from listing photos

Buyers want to understand a home's layout before they spend an afternoon driving to it. Zillow's own survey, cited in its 2022 announcement of interactive home tours, found 56% of buyers agree they wasted time viewing properties they would have skipped had they understood the floor plan first.

Video shows flow in a way a gallery of stills can't. But booking a videographer for every listing adds cost and another calendar to juggle. Magic Video Tours builds an AI real estate video from the listing photos you already have, so buyers and renters can see how the rooms connect. Existing Snappr customers create tours from their account; new customers unlock it by booking a real estate shoot.

Where a human still makes the call

AI is fast, but it isn't always right on the first try. That's why each Magic product keeps people in the loop. Menu images are human-reviewed before delivery. In Magic Studio, a result that needs a human touch goes to a professional editor as an editing job, at an additional cost.

Pavé stones and polished metal are where a professional editor earns the final pass.

It also works best with strong source material. A sharp, well-lit photo from a professional shoot gives the AI far more to work with than a dim phone snap. Capture and Magic aren't competitors. The shoot sets the quality bar, and Magic multiplies it.

Frequently asked questions

What is AI photography for business?

AI photography for business uses AI models to create or edit commercial images, such as product shots, menu photos and property visuals. The most reliable approach starts from a real photo and changes only the scene, light or format, so the product shown stays accurate.

Is AI generated photography accurate enough for menus?

It can be, if it's checked. Snappr's Magic Menus has human reviewers check every image for visual quality and ingredient accuracy before delivery, and you can match the look to your brand's background, angle and crop.

Can AI make a real estate video from photos?

Yes. Magic Video Tours turns a listing's existing photos into an AI walkthrough video that shows how the rooms connect. Existing Snappr customers create tours from their account, and new customers unlock it by booking a real estate shoot.

How many free Magic Studio generations do I get?

Pay-as-you-go accounts get 10 free generations after their first paid booking. Pro accounts get 100 and Enterprise accounts get 200, shared across everyone on the account. It's a one-time allowance, not a monthly one.
